MUSIC AND TRAVEL

This course is based on the lecturer’s own personal travel experiences, sharing with the student the folk customs and music activities of each place. Music examples used in classes are from internet sources and personal collections during each journey. Classical music, folk music and dance, sacred music and pop music will be covered. The map of time and space is from the 17th century to the present, from Central Asia, Turkey, Balkan, Europe to Latin America.
