THE TAINAN DIETARY CULTURE

This course explores the dietary culture of Tainan in the vast perspective of history, first investigate the exchange circulation and networking of food and ingredients, look into how the food involves the relationship between the society and the family, and discuss the meaning of contemporary Tainan food culture. This is actually an inquiry of the history of Tainan, and the actors in food culture are not only good cooks, but even the conductors of our collective participation and memories.
