GENDER AND SPORTS

Does gender matter in Sport? From a global perspective of sports, this course will offer students to discover the process whereby daily live body activities are incorporated according to gender paradigm, especially on how sports activities intervening in shaping personal behavior patterns and social relations. The purpose of this course is to raise awareness of gender differences to the learners and to cultivate them with sympathy for others to meet the requirements of a modern society regarding information circulation and gender equality. This course will aim to turn knowledge into praxis, with the hope to renew the self-learning process by reviewing the gender paradigm that has built personal behavior patterns and social values.
