MEDICINE & CULTURE

This course explores the similarities and differences in health care across cultures and the social forces that affect health and health-related beliefs and practices. The goal of the course is to familiarize students with the comparative, cross-cultural study of medical beliefs and practices, including key research, concepts, and approaches to health and illness in medical anthropology.
