A CULTURAL HISTORY OF DEATH

Death is the ultimate subject that life must face. This course is different from the general discussion of death in life and death. It will examine death from a historical perspective, focusing on the long history of the Han Dynasty from the Han Dynasty to the Sui and Tang Dynasties. The process of establishing, transforming, and shaping death culture. It can be divided into two levels: First, to explore issues related to death, such as the pursuit of immortality, death taboos. Second, the culture of death in the face of death, such as funeral ceremonies and customs, tombs, imagination of the post-mortem world.
