STUDYING PHILOSOPHY IN GERMAN

There is a saying in German-speaking area: "Mastering a language, is having a culture." ("Eine Sprache zu beherrschen, ist eine Kultur zu haben.") The reason is that the language is a comprehensive system which represents the content of a culture and its evolutionary history. That is also the reason, why understanding a philosophical concept is in need of learning its language. This course will introduce the basic German grammar and expression mode while introducing the philosophical thoughts in German-speaking area.
