COLLEGE CHINESE-MODERN FICTION.IMAGINING TAIWAN

This course aims to introduce Taiwanese novelists from after the New Literature in May 4th Movement to 1990s, to construct a genealogy of the generations of Taiwanese novels from their works: Lin Hai Yin, Zhu Xi Ning, Huang Chun Ming, Chen Ying Zhen, Bai Xian Yong, Shi Shu Qing, Zhu Tian Wen, Luo Yi Jun, Chen Xue, Wu Ming Yi and so on. By focusing on the internal and external aspects of the works, the generative theory of literature teaches the characteristics and fundamental theories of the writers/ works in a comprehensive way, supplemented by modern media of video and audio-visual communication that correspond to the text,to strengthen the attractiveness of the text/ reading/understanding/literariness.
