ENGLISH FOR BIOTECHNOLOGY

This course encompasses four major fieldsfields in biotechnology, including genetic engineering, influenza, human brain, and great biological discoveries. In the course, we will read a couple of selected texts and watch topic-related videos to gain content knowledge. In addition, there will be pair activates or group discussions to give students adequate exposure to the expressions in the fields. Students need to demonstrate their opinions by using topic-specific vocabulary words and phrases. At the end of semester, students are required to give a mini talk on either an appointed topic or a bio-tech application of their own choice.The level of this course corresponds to the B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference of Languages (CEFR). Module English teachers will not allow you to be added to their classes. However, if you are in desperate to be added to any of the module English courses, please contact foreign language center directly.
